Here we are 2018 and we're thick and fast into the work and organisational ends of our venture here at Citizen.
As any family will know - kids come and go, this time round we have one coming home and as such our workshop is needing to be moved offsite. I'm immensely looking forward to setting up a new space and to working away from home, I'm certain it will come with as many advantages as it does disadvantages - but we'll surf with them as much as we do any other change life throws our way. So watch this space for further news on premises and projected opening hours.
Having just come off the back end of Martinborough Fair, it's time to update our website into more of a contact space to provide more information on our Commission Service and Pricing, so you'll see a few changes here.
The next month will see our commission list being tackled as well as stock being produced for the next Martinborough Fair in early March.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you ever require any information on product or services - I try and keep abreast of this account a few times a day and aim to provide a prompt response.
Okay Citizen's - till next time!
Greetings from the mad-house! As any working Mum will tell you, LIFE IS CRAZY! Balance is elusive and an ever-changing beast of a thing to try and achieve.
It has been so busy here at Citizen HQ..... Citizen HQ comprises two older children (independent) and three smaller kiddies in various forms of week-about kind of care with former respective partners - yes we are a very blended family and it's a beautiful and crazy machine of a thing which brings it's own unique set of challenges, but ultimately it's a place and a beating heart we all belong too, but as any parent will tell you, it takes work and constant connection to achieve a semi-state of humming normality......... the laughter, achievements, tears, grazes, hurts, up and downs.
So amongst my passion for this awesome upcycled business my partner and I are busy navigating blended family life, the runnings, renovations of a home and a full-time job - life is good! We are here, we are doing it and it is rewarding.
Since it's inception a year ago Citizen Leather has grown from strength to strength, we are out there sharing our ethos and spreading the good upcycling word. So many markets, so many cool people that constantly inspire me. With big markets like Martinborough now done and dusted for the year, we are now starting down the barrel at the Women's Lifestyle Expo in Palmerston North http://www.expos.co.nz/. A large site at this event which brings the planning and construction work of display units, signage etc, as well as the production of gorgeous handcrafted Leather Bags made from our drool-worthy current selection of Leather Jackets.
Right now the website is bare, our local stockist is bare and my stock-shelves in my workshop are bare - this all makes for busy yet exciting times ahead......... so watch this space, and see the stock we have in production as it arrives and we'll let you know when our lovely Georgie Girl in Palmerston North https://www.facebook.com/georgiegirlongeorgestreet/?fref=ts is restocked also.
Thanks you so much for your continued support and sharing your passion with us, it is truly inspiring and so much appreciated.
Until next time CITIZEN'S, my fellow Mum's & Dads, Neighbours, Family & Friends. x
Greetings and welcome to our Brand New Website, it's been a little bit of time in the making but I'm so pleased to have it published at last. I hope to be posting up here on my blog to let you know what we are up to and what markets we have coming up. We've just come back from February's Martinborough Fair which was a fantastic event with an epic amount of amazing stalls. It was a great opportunity to showcase Citizen's range of upcycled and new leather creations and we look forward to the next fair on the 4th of March, for further information visit martinboroughfair.org.nz/. On the back end of this event we have the Newtown Fair which promises to be another massive event for Citizen with the crowds expected to be 80,000 people plus........ my sewing machine is going to be very busy, visit newtownfestival.org.nz/fair-day-2017/ for more information.
So the next month will be filled with creating for upcoming Fairs and some custom work. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you are interested in viewing our stock or if you would like to learn a little about our custom creation service.
